Daisy Mama classes are for postnatal mums only, are suitable to attend from 6 weeks post-birth right up until your baby’s 2nd birthday and are adapted to suit all postnatal related conditions with ease.
Giving ourselves the gift of self-care, allowing ourselves a space and time to slow down, and recognising that one hour of protected time to re-charge makes it all so much easier, is an essential step on this amazing 1001 day journey of continuous perinatal support to confident motherhood.
Classes are 1 hour long and are designed to fit around your baby’s needs. They are also online because you can relax more and you don’t have to drive home after relaxation at the end of class. The session takes place via Zoom and is a safe, interactive space where we can all interact, connect and create a little community of new mums, whether this is your first, second, third or more.
WHAT IS A DAISY MAMA CLASS?
Daisy Mama classes are in essence an hour of mindfulness practice via a variety of flowing movements, sequences, breaths and stillness. Every flowing aspect of class allows for reflection, curiosity and relaxation – every moment of stillness allows our senses time to slow down, our mind and bodies to come to rest and for our own internal world to find balance, clarity and to tap in to our wisdom and resilience. By exploring this mindfulness practice we expand our ability to access mental clarity, to settle our physical body and to build our emotional resilience.
Drawing on the powerful practices of Ta-Chi, Qi Gong, Acupressure and Yoga allow for a powerful yet gentle flowing class as we guide you through a multi-layered experience.
Our unique mind/body movement method draws on elements of postnatal yoga, mindfulness , pelvic floor recover, mind/body movement and relaxation to create one very powerful combination. From calming your mind, adapting to your healing body, settling your emotions and replenishing your reserves – we’ve got you covered.
Classes are booked in blocks of 6 weeks at a time but are designed to carry you through from 6 weeks to 2 years after your baby has been born. Each class is 1 hour long.
(NB: If you aren’t sure if you will be 6 weeks postpartum when the first session is scheduled, please get in touch to discuss options, as we do recommend not starting before 6 weeks post birth for your safety as the body needs this time to start healing and recovery before resuming exercise or movement classes)
Your block of 6 classes costs £45
NB: classes are delivered online, always, as this encourages you to relax and nurture and nourish yourself whilst still being close to your baby and in the comfort of your own home. No need to drive home after class and pyjamas are welcome as comfortable clothing to do the class in!
All you need is a computer or a tablet to take part and the class is always live and interactive and supportive of all birth experiences and all postnatal journeys.
