1. Daisy Birthing Abergavenny, Brecon, Crickhowell & Hay-on-Wye

Class Description

A weekly mums-only antenatal class for expectant mums to help you enjoy pregnancy, stay mobile, learn about your changing baby and body and prepare for a confident birth.

When it comes to the early (or in fact any) stage of pregnancy, any number of emotions can overwhelm us: excitement, fear, anxiety, delight, uncertainty, confusion – and these may well be ever changing! Daisy Birthing helps expectant mums enjoy a positive pregnancy and prepare for a confident birth. The first step of your continuous perinatal support takes the best elements of pregnancy yoga, active birth and hypnobirthing and wraps all of these together in a powerful class that allows you the confidence that comes from realising you can do this.

Daisy Birthing classes are for expectant mums only (my active birth workshops are available for mums and birth partners to attend if this is what you are looking for), are suitable to attend from 14 weeks pregnant right up until baby’s birth, and are adapted to suit all pregnancy related conditions and birth plans with ease.

Classes are booked in blocks of 6 weeks at a time but are designed to carry you through from early pregnancy right up until your baby’s birthing day and for mums-only to create a really safe, supportive and open environment. Each class is 1-hour 30 mins long and costs £75 for the 6 weeks including follow up e-mails packed with information, further resources and a private what’s app support group for you to connect with the other mums in class.

NB: Under current Tier 4 lockdown restrictions this class will be delivered online (should restrictions be lifted during a term permitting in person classes again, we may only revert back to face to face if possible to do so with venue availability, so if you are booking please be aware that the class will likely be online for the duration of the 6 weeks).

Birthing classes work beautifully online with time to chat, relax, breathe, move, learn about your pregnancy and birthing body, empower your choices and boost your confidence around birth, as well as meeting other local mums, albeit virtually, to continue to support you and foster connection and community at this time when we all need it most. Your due date won’t wait, so don’t delay in preparing for your birth until we can safely meet face to face again, as unfortunately we can’t be sure when that will be and we don’t want you to miss out. Our online birthing classes give you everything you need for a more relaxing and supported pregnancy, and a confident and empowered birth, and you don’t need any special equipment, just a computer, laptop or iPad, (You don’t even need a yoga mat at home!)

Please be assured that our online classes will remain interactive, using a video platform where we can all still see one another and you will have lots of opportunity to chat, connect , ask questions and feel truly supported, just as in a face to face class. Classes include support emails, facebook group access, what’s app  group set-up and I am always reachable via email, call or video link-up should you need it during class terms classes and beyond as I believe strongly in a continuity of care.  My priority is to support you, inform your choices and to help you to navigate these waters with positivity, confidence and community.

I look forward to welcoming you to your Daisy Birthing class.

Here’s what other local mums had to say about their Daisy Birthing experience with Ceri:

“Daisy Birthing is the best thing I’ve ever done in my life!” Rhiannon, Daisy Birthing Abergavenny (mum of 2 who did Daisy Birthing classes with both pregnancies and still uses the breathing and positivity techniques in day to day life!)

“I realised soon after becoming pregnant that I actually didn’t know very much about the birthing experience at all… other than the terrible Hollywood screaming scenes (yikes). I had the belief that the female body was designed to give birth and that there must be a more calm, prepared and natural way to approach giving birth. Daisy Birthing was exactly what I needed. The classes were firstly in person, but very safe and Covid Safe socially distanced. The sessions felt very warm, easy going, supportive and welcoming. The 6 weeks course gave you all of the key information ,step by step, to empower and never overwhelm or plant fear. The balance of the classes left me feeling enhanced in new knowledge and confidence to give birth to my first baby. Ceri explained and provided great choices for consideration that also covered possible medical complications a mother may face. Knowledge is a fantastic tool and now I feel I have much more control in saying what I want and don’t want.  Each week we revisited positive birth affirmations, breathing techniques and movement techniques. Personally I found this a great anchoring that I know I will take with me into the birthing room. Its been such a useful course and a real enhancement to be part of. Worth every penny” Elizabeth, Daisy Birthing Crickhowell

“Daisy Birthing classes are empowering and informative. Ceri is a brilliant tutor who makes you feel that just like each birth is unique, that the classes are bespoke too. I feel so much more prepared and so much stronger having attended the classes. I would highly recommend to any expectant mums!” Kerrie, Daisy Birthing Brecon

“I’m so grateful for the wonderful support and advice you provided. Being pregnant for the first time during COVID has been quite scary without the normal antenatal support. The classes were a real treat and such a lovely way to relax at the end of the week.  I’ve slept so well on Fridays nights! The information has been so valuable, I did not expect to come away with so much practical advice and I’m feeling so much calmer, more informed and positive about labour.” Fiona, Daisy Birthing Online

“I truly believe Daisy Birthing helped keep me calm and I was just focusing on breathing through each contraction.” Leann, Daisy Birthing Crickhowell
