This essential step of your continuous perinatal support takes the best elements of postnatal yoga, mindfulness and relaxation and wraps all of these together in a powerful 5 element model that allows you the confidence that comes from realising you can be you.

The transition to motherhood is a life changing experience that for some can prove challenging as you adapt to a new way of life. For many, Daisy classes are an opportunity to connect with your local community, meet other new mums and to learn and share experiences. One of the things that makes Daisy so unique is our commitment to nurturing each Daisy community – investing in creating an environment for friendships and connections to grow, for trusting relationships and support to develop and to create a space in which exploring the vulnerable and raw aspects of Motherhood is welcomed. Daisy Mama classes expand on this idea of connection by also facilitating a space in which it is safe to experience our own internal world, our challenges, our transformative bodies and minds as we navigate the ever-changing journey of motherhood.
In our uniquely integrated postnatal class you will practice gentle yoga based movements, dynamic releasing and balancing movements along with more focussed pelvic floor restore work too. This is an ideal way to gently engage with your body in the postnatal period and as your mind and body heal, adapt and evolve over the first 2 years after your baby is born. Rather than a traditional postnatal fitness or postnatal yoga class, in your Daisy Mama class you will benefit from allowing your mind and body to evolve together in this protected space where you realise you can be you. By incorporating this in to our class you can benefit from taking the time to bring balance and harmony in to your body once more, improve the tone of the pelvic floor and find a new strength as you adapt confidently to your new body in a safe and gentle way.
Daisy Mama classes are delivered in such a way that you are guided in to a deep state of relaxation as you move. Through the gentle rhythm of your breath, our own daisy composed music and the flowing gentle style of teaching the sequences allows for a truly relaxing class. Relaxing in class is a wonderful opportunity to rest and recharge, give yourself the time and space to come to rest, and to find the protected space where you can just be you.
Our classes link your relaxation to your breath, movement and language in such a way that you can take it with you and access it at any time.
Each Daisy Mama class is rounded off with a tailor made relaxation session linked to the theme of that week. We bring together the best elements of relaxation, guided visualisation and hypnosis to facilitate a deeper learning, a greater level of relaxation and a real sense of rejuvenation.
Giving ourselves the gift of self-care, allowing ourselves a space and time to slow down, and recognising that one hour of protected time to re-charge makes it all so much easier. In any given moment of motherhood we are psychologically and physically managing a multitude of tasks, emotions, decisions and needs – it is easy to be consumed by it all. Daisy Mama classes are in essence an hour of mindfulness practice via a variety of flowing movements, sequences, breaths and stillness. Every flowing aspect of class allows for reflection, curiosity and relaxation – every moment of stillness allows our senses time to slow down, our mind and bodies to come to rest and for our own internal world to find balance, clarity and to tap in to our wisdom and resilience. By exploring this mindfulness practice we expand our ability to access mental clarity, to settle our physical body and to build our emotional resilience.
Daisy Mama classes offer a unique opportunity to allow your mind and body to settle in to a deep state of relaxation, balance and connection. Drawing on the powerful practices of Ta-Chi, Qi Gong, Acupressure and Yoga allow for a powerful yet gentle flowing class as we guide you through a multi-layered experience. The act of anchoring every movement, every sequence or point of stillness to our own Daisy composed music and rhythmic breath allows for the noise of the world, the stresses of the day and the challenges of motherhood to just melt away. Every movement allows for a point of reflection, an opportunity to be mindful of where we feel stress, limitations or heightened emotions – and gives the space to let them settle, transform or even drift away.

What do I need to know?

Giving ourselves the gift of self-care, allowing ourselves a space and time to slow down, and recognising that one hour of protected time to re-charge makes it all so much easier, is an essential step on this amazing 1001 day journey of continuous perinatal support to confident motherhood.

Who are classes for?

Daisy Mama classes are for postnatal mums only, are suitable to attend from 6 weeks post-birth right up until your baby’s 2nd birthday and are adapted to suit all postnatal related conditions with ease.

Classes are booked in blocks of 6 weeks at a time but are designed to carry you through from 6 weeks to 2 years after your baby has been born. Each class is 1 hour long.

Your block of 6 classes costs RRP £48 (£40-£56)

Our unique mind/body movement method draws on elements of postnatal yoga, mindfulness , pelvic floor recover, mind/body movement and relaxation to create one very powerful combination.
